Bug Fixes

1. Memory Leak:
   In some cases, a memory leak occured after several connections, preventing WallCooler from working properly after several days.
   
   
2. Same Network connectivity:
   Two computers on the same network with WallCooler using 169.254.22.4 disconnect each other.
   This resulted in users not being able to connect from two computers on the same LAN.
   
   
3. Computer name resolution:
   If the name of the remote computer cannot be resolved, the IP address is automatically used instead to launch RDP or file sharing.
   This allows smooth connectivity even when DNS resolution doesn't work on a computer. Before, users had to manually enter the IP address.
   

New Features

1. Enable RDP Remotely :
   Detect remote RDP status & allows to enable RDP remotely from WallCooler RDP tool interface.
   
   
2. Windows Firewall configuration :
   WallCooler installer now automatically configures Windows Firewall.
   
   
3. Improved geographic coverage: Australia, New Zealand & South Africa :
   WallCooler users in Australia, New Zealand & South Africa will see a great speed improvement when using premium accounts (Pro & Enterprise services).
   

Bug Fixes

1. Network Adapter detection error:
   Some network cards were not detected properly, resulting in users unable to connect from certain computers.
   
   
2. Computer disconnecting every 10-30s:
   Two computers on the same network with WallCooler using 169.254.22.4 disconnect each other.
   This resulted in users not being able to connect from two computers on the same LAN.
   

New Features

1. Multiple connections support :
   WallCooler can now accept multiple connections from different users and/or locations.
   Available on professional & Enterprise accounts
   
   
2. Data Compression :
   Compression of all data transferred when possible.
   Improves throughput drastically (up to 10x) on uncompressed data.
   
   
3. User permissions :
   Configure each authorized user permissions on your local network.
   
   
4. Console security :
   When WallCooler is running, only the signed in user can access the console to update WallCooler.
   Authentication is now required to open the console.
   
   
5. Identical Network connection support :
   WallCooler now works on identical networks (networks sharing the same IP addressing, but not connected together).
   Also works on two computers on the same network (same physical networks)
   
   
6. Improved geographic coverage :
   We have greatly improved our geographic coverage, especially in Asia & Oceania.
   The US and Europe have also been largely improved.
   
   

Bug Fixes

1. Automatic Reconnection:
   WallCooler automatically recovers from temporary connectivity loss.
   This ensures a smooth use even on unstable internet connections.
   
   
2. Immproved PPP card management:
   WallCooler properly detects the installed Loopback adapter when working with a PPP Adapter (3G).
   Note: MS Loopback Adapter still required.
   
   
3. Improved performances & responsiveness:
   Several changes have been made to improve performances.
   
   
4. DHCP Management:
   Fixed issues related to DHCP address leases and renewals.
   
   

New Features

1. Support for Windows Vista:
   WallCooler now works on Vista.
   It has been fully reviewed and improved to fit with the Vista guideline and features.
   All versions of Vista are fully supported.
   
   
2. Support for PPP (3G, modems) & USB adapters:
   WallCooler now fully supports PPP adapters (3G cards, dial-up, DSL modems) as well as USB Wifi cards.
   Only a simple additional configuration is required:

3. Improved servers & connection time:
   Our servers have been upgraded to support 1.2.

Bug Fixes

1. Multiple simultaneous TCP connection for HTTP traffic (csp & ajax pages):
   WallCooler now works fine to access intranet sites using multiple simultaneous TCP connection to convey HTTP traffic.
   Cache Server Page (.csp) and ajax based HTML pages are typical examples of such behavior.
   
   
2. Remote Installation:
   You can now install WallCooler (and run it) through a Remote Desktop session (on a terminal server for instance).
   The session mismatch problem has been fixed.
   
   
3. Install WC Remotely works now:
   DNS requests and IP Address belonging to a different network are detected in half the previous time.
   
   
4. Improved & simplified Console:
   The console user interface has been simplified & improved:
   
   • Unnecessary or confusing screen have been simplified or removed.
   • Fixed console frame hide/show minor problems
   • Improved look & feel of some screens
   • ...
   
   
5. Improved System Tray Icon management:
   Miscellaneous problems with the tray icon have been fixed, and a context menu is now accessible from the tray icon.
   
   
   

New Features

1. Remote Connection Tools:
   Once WallCooler is connected, tools are displayed on the account panel.
   Each tool give you quick access to the remote computer or network.
   
   Currently, 2 different tools are available (Remote Screen Control & Remote File Sharing).

2. Connection from public networks:
   We have improved the connectivity from public places (Hotels, wifi hotspots, airports...)
   
   
3. Support for Windows 2003:
   Windows 2003 Server & Enterprise are fully supported.

Bug Fixes

1. Remote Computer IP Address can now be used to connect:
   Until now, only the address assigned on the local network could be used
   
   
2. Computer addresses on the remote network are detected automatically:
   Accessing a computer on the remote network by IP is now instantaneous
   
   
3. Faster remote computer detection:
   DNS requests and IP Address belonging to a different network are detected in half the previous time.
   
   
4. Reduce memory (RAM) usage:
   Roughly reduced by 20% vs 1.0.
   
   
5. Improved local Network Address assignment:
   A local IP address is assigned locally only when necessary (eg: no need to try on a public network).
   
   
6. Network card detection:
   Bugs when WC was not able to detect a network card although a card was there (rare).
   


7. Detect the local adapter before connecting:
   Only attempt a connection to the remote WallCooler if a supported Network Adapter is found locally.
   


8. Update account info upon Bridge connection attempt:
   User account panel information (account type, bandwidth) is updated every time a Bridge connection is attempted.
