| Remote Desktop Tool |
You might want to access a computer on the remote network through a Remote Screen: Gives you mouse and keyboard control over the remote computer while showing you everything that's happening on the screen. Since V1.1, WallCooler allows you to get Remote Control on a computer on the remote network directly from the User Interface. The Remote Desktop tool is available from the "My Account" panel as soon as you are connected to the remote computer. If you experience some problems using the Remote Desktop Tool in Wallcooler, >> Goto Remote Desktop configuration |
| How To Connect |
1. Open WallCooler "My Account" Panel
To do so, in the left hand panel, click on "My Account" (in "Manage Account")
2. Goto the Remote Computer Panel
Scroll down on the right hand panel to display the part named "Remote Computer (...)"
3. Click on "Open Remote Screen on ..."
A connecting dialog appears while the connection to the remote computer is established.
4. Login on the remote computer
When the Log On to Windows dialog box appears, type your user name, password, and domain (if required), and then click OK. Basically, you should consider you are loging in to the remote computer as if you were in front of it.
The Remote Desktop window opens, and you see the desktop settings, files, and programs that are on your host computer, which in this example is your work computer. Your host computer remains locked, and nobody can access it without a password. In addition, no one will be able to see the work you are doing remotely. |
| How To end your Remote Desktop session |
1. Click Start, and then click Log Off at the bottom of the Start menu.
2. When prompted, click Log Off. A connecting dialog appears while the connection to the remote computer is established.
