Make the Most of WallCooler
WallCooler routes all the IP and TCP traffic, all the IP based applications should work on both computers or networks. WallCooler automatically takes care of which packets belong to which network.
For example, an e-mail client application, such as Microsoft Outlook, running on your laptop in a public place, like an airport or hotel room, will automatically connect to the e-mail server running at the office.
Now, if while you are reading an e-mail you click on a website link within that e-mail, WallCooler will know that you don't need to go through the Office computer/network to access this link.
|
When connected to your Office computer using WallCooler, your office intranet or any intranet application is accessible.
The only thing to do is open a web browser and type in the intranet address exactly as you would do it from your office computer.
WallCooler will automatically understand that you want to access a server located at your Office and connect you accordingly.
If your first attempt fail, please close your browser and try again.
WallCooler might take few seconds to detect the remote server (once you have made a request) before allowing the connection.

Once WallCooler is connected to your office computer, you can basically perform any IT support activity like:
- SSH Server: Open a telnet session to a server at the office
- FTP: Access server log files through FTP
- Ping a server: Ping a server directly from you home laptop/desktop
- Open a Database Browser: And connect it directly to a database at the office
- Assist Users: help users with Microsoft Remote assistance or any other tool you use on your corporate network
- Use Source control: Check-in, check out files directly to the office source control system (no need to go through a web interface)
- ...
WallCooler is a Full VPN, so any TCP or UDP based application is accessible.
You will of course require all the appropriate credentials to connect to each application.
WallCooler gives you acess to the network, but all the office network internal security is maintained.
