| Remote File Sharing Tool |
Access the files and folders on a remote computer directly from your Windows Explorer.
You are not limited to the remote computer, you can in fact map any drive shared on the remote network.
Since V1.1, WallCooler allows you to open shared resources on a computer on the remote network directly from the User Interface. The Remote File Sharing tool is available from the "My Account" panel as soon as you are connected to the remote computer. If you experience some problems using the Remote File Sharing Tool in Wallcooler, >> Goto File Sharing configuration |
| How To Connect |
1. Open WallCooler "My Account" Panel
To do so, in the left hand panel, click on "My Account" (in "Manage Account")
2. Goto the Remote Computer Panel
Scroll down on the right hand panel to display the part named "Remote Computer (...)"
3. Click on "Open Remote Shared Drives on ..."
A connecting dialog appears while the connection to the remote computer is established.
4. (optional) If asked, enter a valid login for accessing the shared folders
You might be asked to provide a valid user account to access the remote shared folders. If so, enter an account name and password (domain if needed) that is authorized to access the shared folders. Remember: the user account should be valid on the remote computer (or network).
The Explorer window opens, and you see all shared resources on the remote computer. |
